Correct diagnosis and rapid start of preferred antifungal treatment need clinical suspicion. Patient’s symptoms may be confluent with other conditions such as bacterial and other fungal infections. We present a case of pulmonary mucormycosis in a patient with end stage renal disease successfully treated with a long course of amphotericin B deoxycholate (AmB) and upper lobectomy of the left lung despite of low pulmonary capacity.
